Ruthless Good Redux

Ruthless Good Redux

The United Way of Greater Austin brought on Bounce to help them completely overhaul their scavenger hunt event from start to finish.

The United Way of Greater Austin brought on Bounce to help them completely overhaul their scavenger hunt event from start to finish. After using a complicated digital platform teams could use to earn points, we were tasked to make this digital event analog. Everything from the logo, website, how teams could earn points and scavenger hunt material needed to be completely started from scratch.

We worked with the United Way and used our creative brain power to come up with an old school logo that worked well with the analog approach to the scavenger hunt. Our team researched multiple ways we could approach this project and came up with a creatively designed fold out map which broke down each question by area. We worked with the United Way to mine their local relationships and partnered with the community to bring this scavenger hunt to life. Our design guru built a website including a new registration platform for participants, details on how the scavenger hunt could work and creative ways to highlight sponsors.

The revamped Ruthless Good Scavenger Hunt brought out more teams and participants than in previous years and the new analog form received rave reviews.

The next afternoon brought us our biggest challenge yet: a 4-hour event set up window followed by a 3 hour event and a 2 hour load out.

Due in part to Bounce’s proactiveness and quick thinking, a faithful set of volunteers and vendors who went above and beyond to make this event possible, we were able to host the first-ever indoor Light the Night event without a hitch. We look back at this day as the “Miracle in Norwalk”.
